Exterior Primer (Jewell Exterior Primer) is a premium water-thinnable acrylic wall primer specially formulated for exterior masonry where alkali, salts and weather exposure are high. Its high-performance binder offers superior alkali and efflorescence resistance, preventing water and dissolved salts from migrating into the paint film and damaging the topcoat.

The primer penetrates porous plaster, brick and concrete, sealing the surface and reducing absorbency so exterior emulsions cover better, look richer and last longer. It forms a tough, non-chalking film that improves adhesion and extends the life of the complete paint system, without the need for curing. Low VOC, solvent-free and quick drying, Exterior Primer can be applied by brush or roller, covers about 180–240 sq.ft per litre per coat on a well-prepared surface, and can be recoated after 2–4 hours. It is recommended under all Jewell exterior emulsions, from budget to ultra-luxury ranges.
